Our Principles

Voluntary and open membership. Agroind Palaoapan, is constituted and organized voluntarily, open to everyone capable of using its products and services and willing to accept ownership and the responsibility of being associated without social, political, religious, racial or gender discrimination.

Democratic management by the associates. Agroind Papaloapan, is manage and organized democratically by its own members, who actively participate in setting new work policies and making decisions. The men and women elected to represent and manage the cooperative are accountable to the members.

Economic contribution of associates. In Agroind Papaloapan, its members equally contribute to build the cooperative's assets and manage them democratically. Surpluses, if any, are used to develop the cooperative, maintain reserves, and provide benefits to members in proportion to their participation.

Autonomy and independence. Agroind Papaloapan is a cooperative society with an autonomous self-help organization, managed by its associates. If it signs agreements with other organizations, including governments, or if it obtains external resources, it does so on terms that ensure its democratic control and maintain its cooperative autonomy.

Cooperation between partners. Agroind Papaloapan is a cooperative society that serves its members as efficiently as possible and strengthens the cooperative movement by working together through local, regional, national, and international resources.

Interest in the community. Agroind Palaloapan is a cooperative society that, while meeting the needs and desires of its members, works to achieve the sustainable development of our community through policies and guidelines approved by its members.

VALUES. Agroind Papaloapan is a cooperative society based on values such as democracy, equity, helping others, dignity, a spirit of solidarity and a sense of accountability.

Agroind Papaloapan's cooperative members embrace the ethical values of honesty, transparency, social responsibility, love, and respect for others.
